Our class structure is outlined below:
- Early Years – Nursery and Reception
- KS1 – Year 1 and 2
- Lower KS2 – Year 3 and 4
- Upper KS2 – Year 5 and 6
We evaluate our class structure each year to ensure that we offer the most effective provision for all learners.
Early Years and KS1 pupils are taught at Reeth each day, while Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 pupils are taught at Gunnerside. The arrangements enable a reduction in the age range within each class and provide a larger peer group for pupils than would otherwise be possible.
Some pupils are transported between the schools to facilitate these class arrangements.
