Absences during term time
If your child is absent from for any reason, you are required to inform the school of this as soon as possible and by no later than 9:30am on the first day of absence, where this is reasonably practicable. Telephone calls are taken from 8:30am daily and before this time an answer machine is available. Please provide the reason for absence and the expected date of return to school.
Other than for medical/sickness reasons should you require your child to be absent from school during the term time, contact needs to be made with us regarding the circumstances at least 7 days in advance of any required absence. Under the latest attendance regulations headteachers no longer have the discretion to grant leave of absence (eg. for family holidays) during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
