SEND
The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer in North Yorkshire works with families, schools and other agencies to provide a wide range of support for young people, giving them access to appropriate provision for their special educational needs or disability. The Local Offer provides information on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies including education, health and social care. Knowing what is available gives parents more choice and therefore more control over the support that is right for their child.
Support is split into early years, which includes help with development, learning and behaviour; and primary and secondary, which includes a sensory, physical, medical and teaching service.
