We have an active PTA, the Friends of Reeth and Gunnerside Schools, who support with school events and raise money for enrichment projects.
Aims and objectives
1. To bring together a strong and inclusive community of parents, teachers and pupils by supporting with school events
2. To raise funds to help enhance facilities and education.
Projects
The Friends of School support a range of projects, including:
- Part funding educational visits
- Library development, including new reading books
- Book bags for new starters
- Hall hire for school events
- Playtime equipment
- Curriculum enhancement (e.g. cameras)
- Reading books, as part of our good behaviour reward scheme
- Improvements to school facilities (e.g. a £5,000 contribution to the early years canopy)
